Killer week for Legal Geek

ICYMI it’s been a bumper week of news at Legal Geek. Here’s a re-cap:

The ‘OMG’ News

Yep it’s official, we are the event partner of Barclays’ a dedicated centre for legal technology entrepreneurs: the Eagle Lab in Notting Hill. The lab aims to help legal companies start-up and scale and will provide co-working space for up to 100 individuals.

Jimmy commented: ‘The LawTech space has huge potential for growth, and with initiatives like this, I wholeheartedly believe that the same success we have seen in the UK’s thriving FinTech scene can be replicated.”

The ‘Pack Your Bags’ News

We’re soon jetting off on our (LawTech) summer holidays to meet the coolest legal startups and share their stories. Last year it was Europe, this year: the world. Our Around the World Tour is stopping off in Moscow [14th May] > Singapore [17th May] > Sydney [31st May] > Melbourne [4th June] > San Francisco [7th June] > and London [19th June].

We loved our 2017 tour to Europe and start-ups based on the continent can still get involved with us this summer by entering a pitching competition to win a travel grant (and an exhibitor stand slot) to attend the 2018 Legal Geek Conference in London. All you need do to enter is submit a 90-second video telling us about your start-up and why you should receive a grant.

The ‘Get Outta Here!’ News

We are chuffed to have been selected as a finalist in the Best Conference by a Small Company category at this year’s Conference Awards. We’re up against seven other tip-top events with the results being announced on the 29th June.
