The Summer of Law

Jason’s Road Trip to Legal Geek North America

This summer, Legal Geek is heading over the pond to North America, looking to bring people together, creating a sense of community and a positive change on the legal industry.

As a symbol of peace, love, art and community, our friend, Jason Moyse, is heading off on an adventure to kick start our North American tour, travelling with his recently discovered passion, otherwise known as a Honda CB500 F. Jason has been involved in the innovation space around legal for ten years, hence his world colliding with ours back in 2016.

Stop 1 – Americade
Jason found his calling for the two wheels last year and managed to ride over 7000km between June and October. He is setting off on his Legal Geek Road Trip from Southampton, Ontario, on 6th June and travelling down to Lake George, NY, to attend the biking festival Americade. This five-day festival includes parades, numerous rides, and contests.
Traveling through Vermont

After this unique experience, he’ll be heading south through the stunning countryside of Vermont, over the covered bridges in North New York. These bridges date back to 1820 and amongst them is the Cornish-Windsor Covered Bridge, spanning the Connecticut River. At 465 feet, it is the longest two-span covered bridge in the world and the longest wooden bridge in the USA.

Stop 2 – Woodstock
One of his planned stops is the infamous Woodstock, where the village contains art and craft galleries and theatre productions and frequently holds music concerts. Jason is looking forward to this stop due to his love of music, particularly the band, The Band. He will be visiting the pink house, used by Bob Dylan’s backing band for their iconic album ‘Music from Big Pink’.
Mark Cohen once said our Legal Geek Conference was the Woodstock of the legal world; it seems only fitting that this should be on the map for the pre-North American tour….tour.
Final Stop – Legal Geek New York

Then onto the main event, New York. We can’t wait to see everyone on Thursday, June 16th! Our Legal Geek North America will see the best European businesses being brought across the water. The series includes a three-stop tour to New York, Chicago and Toronto (our own mini road trip!).
